To add a compelling, gorgeous hair in your character gives that extra boost in a manga character’s personality.
Go get your drawing pencil and draw the basic steps. Remember when you draw your first ellipse? The first curve will serve as your ‘hairline’. Your bigger ellipse will make the base of the hair. On top of that, add a small space for hair volume.
Instead of drawing the hair strands individually, most mangaka draw them in groups, clumps, or combine the strands of the hair. It makes drawing faster and easier. Nearing the end of the hair, the group of hair tends to have sharp and thin lines.
